Share We: Food sharing service Design

Opportunity

One of the most densely populated cities in South Korea is Seoul.  Korean statistics announce 30.2% of the total population of Seoul city in 2019 are single-person householders. The number of single householders is increasing. Therefore, the form of consuming things is changing from purchasing to renting or sharing.

I would like to propose a service to create a new form of community between neighbors.  I want our user to share their extra food and uneaten food with their neighbors rather than throwing away.

It is a service design made up of sharing the refrigerator and a mobile app.

How it work?

Share We aims to protect the environment by reducing the amount of food waste through food sharing between neighbours.

There are two touch point in this service. There is a mobile app and food sharing refrigerator to drop/pick up food.

Neighbors use their app to find what kind of food is ready for share on the refrigerator near their house.
