Como Se Dice?

Based out of Vancouver, Canada, my practice as an artist, activist and woman of colour explores politically motivated concepts as a racialized person in a western country. My work consists of sculptural, photographic and performative works, and are often surrounding concepts surrounding identity politics. As an emerging artist working with political subject matter, my goal is to create work which not only brings awareness to the oppressive elements of these topics but utilizes the empowering ones as both a call to action, and celebration of ethnically coded identity.
