Childhood

Yuying He

The childhood series is influenced by children’s behavior. To me, children are pure. They are neither evil nor good but blank paper. They are unpredictable, have unique thoughts, straightforward, naive, but seeing the world with their own eyes. In my opinion, children do not have the concept of rights and wrong but doing things that they want to do with their instincts; childhood is like a dream, they are hazy but nostalgic. I want to capture it and show what I see and feel about childhood through this project.

In my project, I focus on childhood and show the uniqueness of each of them. Their behavior, expressions, and daily life. Further, to combine the weirdness and exaggerates the imagination of childhood memories. Through the series, the artworks are dreamy. I would like to leave some space for the viewers to think about their childhood.
