Studies in Indian Textiles
Jyotika Khosla
My name is Jyotika Khosla and I am graduating with a BFA in Visual Arts. My current art practice involves research in Indian textiles and discovering narratives that are embedded in the fabrics worn by the women in my life. The paintings depict Indian textiles that are worn and passed down between Punjabi women celebrating youth, feminine energy, ritual, and meditative practice as well as exploring the naive and playful qualities that are intertwined with handcrafted fabrics and textile patterns.
