Ending The End Of The World
Aydin Arnett
It’s been one year since the same day started repeating itself, and the world has adapted. It seems everyone has been able to move on with their lives, except one student, who finds himself emotionally stuck in the past.
With my film, I wanted to work through the feeling of being stuck in a rut, emotionally and physically, through an over-the-top, crazy story. Quin, the main character, is stuck in the same day, waking up in the same house, same town, and with the same black eye on his face, but also stuck in the past with his childish ways. The film is absurdist and surreal at times, but still feels relatable because it’s built on how we all neglect emotions sometimes. The film is influenced by everything late night anime and experimental surrealism.
