The Young Old

The Young Old is a romantic story based on a real character Feng Shuncheng (72), who runs an old musical repair store named Little Guangdong, the story happens in an old block neighbourhood in ShangHai, the street used to be one of the most flourishing street in Shanghai when Mr.Feng first moved there back in the 70’s.

The street is very famous for its “stubborn” personality, almost all of the people now living in that street are in their 60 and 70’s, They’ve being there in their whole life. This place is only a mile away from the most flourishing downtown in Shanghai,  and it will be gone during the next few years, along with their lifestyle.

One day he meets a young man who brings him inspiration and memory from the past, at the end he realize that the young man called Sam was himself. 

The main theme in the film inspired by Feng’s original music piece, Some of the dialogue was not finished yet.
